OBJECTIVE
- Reach out and engage farmer producer organizations legalized as producer companies, societies, trusts, or any other equitable form of farmer collectives described under law
- Conceptualize and/or implement programs and initiatives to support and strengthen farmer collectivization drives to mitigate challenges of fragmented handholding, aggregation of farming revenues, advancing agriculture and allied sectors, enhancing farmers’ income, and building the capacity of smallholder farmers
- Support, encourage, educate, commendate and advocacy for the farmers collective supportive programs, polices, practices and praxis
- Collaborate, coordinate, and partner with the National or international profit, non-profit, government, or private organizations working directly or indirectly on the objectives of ‘Bharat FPO’ to achieve common goals and co-create values for the stakeholders
- Collaborate with the research, educational, and training organizations of agriculture, allied agriculture, business management, technology, communication, and finance sectors associated directly or indirectly with agriculture and rural livelihood to introduce and promote innovations and efficient processes in the fields of agriculture and rural livelihood advancement
- Develop and execute programs and initiatives to promote collective farming practices, direct consumer (D2C) models to actively participate in the ecosystem and enhance the share of agriculture in the overall food value chain economics
- Promote platforms or media to share notable initiatives by the member organizations and create an environment to learn from each other’s experiences
- Plan and organize activities, meetings, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and live shows to develop general awareness about farmer collectivization, knowledge of innovations and technologies in the field of agriculture, government programs, the potential of farmer collectives (FPO) to ensure food security, understanding about safe food, and other important topics and issues related to agriculture and the sustainable food value chain
- Conceptualize, develop, and/or partner with the organizations to execute programs and initiatives to develop rural livelihoods, create employment opportunities for rural youth and reduce urban migration
- Develop shared service facilities, digital systems, and processes to enable member FPOs to aggregate informal farming revenues like laborers into formal business turnovers to illuminate the true strength of the rural economic ecosystem
- Promote and expand regenerative farming systems to establish a sustainable agri-food ecosystem and partnering with institutions engages in carbon / green credit initiatives / program to connect with member FPOs for the field implementation of plant positive actions (PPA) in agriculture
- Skilling, knowledge development, talent identification, and human resources management support the development of the capacity of member producer organizations
- Advisory and service support to the member FPOs on legal, business licenses, and compliance-related statistical requirements
- Business consultancy and linkage support for all aspects of FPO's activities, including digital infrastructure development, agriculture infrastructure projects, logistics, business lending, and farm produce export handling
- Organizing campaigns and activities to enhance awareness about the ‘Bharat FPO’ and engaging farmer producer organizations as alliance members
- Policy advocacy and representation on the matters and issues related to the context specific challenges facing farmer producer organizations in the country
- Plan, partner and execute initiatives supporting directly or indirectly the cause of soil and animal health, reforestation, poverty elimination of landless populations especially SC & ST communities, environmental protection, generate rural employment and reduce urban migration, women empowerment, livelihood development, health, hygiene, food security, eradicate malnutrition, education, biodiversity enhancement, protection of endangered plant and animal species, reforestation, ecology and habitat protection.
